The Incredibles

I'm going to see the Incredibles tomorrow night with 14 other people from my workplace. This will be totally awesome! I've heard that the Star Wars III trailer will debut tomorrow night. And there's also Pixar's latest animation short Boundin'. It's interesting that most of the group is made of young married couples ... and then there's single me. Oh well. I'm not exactly "in the market," and I'm going to enjoy what most worldly teenagers miss when they go to the theater—the movie. Maybe I'll write a little review to post in here.

YIPEE!

Once in a while, people should experience a moment of outstanding joy. That moment came for me this morning when my coworker, Nathan, called my extension and told me the wonderful news: John Kerry conceded the election to President George W. Bush! It filled my heart with such excitement to know the this great man who has served and advanced our country in the last four years will do so for another four years. Also greatly encouraging me was the news that all eleven states that had a marriage definition amendment passed them with an overwhelming lead. This goes to show that a large majority of Americans (about 65%) favor marriage as being only between one man and one woman, just as God created us to be (Genesis 1–2).

I know who has my vote

Returned from a Bush rally.

How Much are You Willing to Pay for Gas?

Gas prices are rising. If you haven’t noticed it, you must not enjoy things called “vehicles.

John Kerry's New Bumper Sticker

My bumper sticker idea finally visually realized. See it and read more about it.

Praise to Applebee's

One of my lesser-known poetic works. A work in progress. For lack of time to write something significant or complete my dozen mostly-written blogs, I decided to praise my favorite restaurant: Applebee's.

Praise to Applebee's
Oh Applebee's, sweet Applebee's,
Your red sign doth glow in the night,
Welcoming me to come and see
The menu with delicious sights.

Refuting Christian Excuses (RCE): Introduction

We hear them so often when others are confronted and we tend to make them ourselves when we feel threatened. When we want neither the responsibility nor the consequences of a word, thought, action, or attitude; or we hesitate to pursue a new horizon in a particular area, we dismiss ourselves with numerous excuses. Since the beginning of time, about 6,000 years ago, excuses have been made to shift blame from ourselves to another.
