We don’t pray without ceasing because we think that we have need for nothing

The model of prayer from Jesus Christ is to pray for our daily needs, but how often do we? Each day, do we pray for our food?
We don’t pray without ceasing because we don’t love the brethren
Ephesians 6:18
If we knew the true spiritual condition of those others around us, we would pray without ceasing. We have to care about each other enough to ask deep questions and take responsibility with the answer.
Show hospitality to others. Put forth the effort to show love to others. That is how the world knows us as Christians—by our love for one another.
We don’t pray without ceasing because we don’t know our Father, God
You can study your life out but if you don’t truly know God, then your prayer life will fail.
Just as an eager young child tells all to the people that they admire, so God desires for us to tell Him everything of our lives. He longs to know us intimately.
David was in fellowship with God while he was with his flock. Why can’t we fellowship when we are in the car, at work, or at home?
Unceasing prayer is immediately responding to the continual promptings of the Holy Spirit. Everything that we do must be taken to God in prayer.
Have need of everything, love your brothers and sisters in Christ, and have a desire for constant fellowship with the Lord.
This concludes Men’s Retreat. A lot to think about; a lot to pray about.
